Prologue
Strict diets and exercise regimes are part and parcel of pageant life, so is catwalking in sky-high heels. Plus my family thinks I'm crazy when they catch me grinning widely at myself in the mirror. I'm really thankful and glad it all payed off..
For me, packing was the hardest part before my 11-day voyage towards winning Miss Malaysia Tourism 2012. You see, I dislike packing a lot. Fate had me packing and unpacking non-stop for the past two years, and my life as an international student fueled that. Getting attached to places and people, and then being forced to part is never easy. In Miss Malaysia Tourism, I remember being really sad to part ways with my two roommates - Balqish and Kathleen when our journey in MMT was over. =( But every ending is a new beginning and I hope that this one will be fruitful for me. =)

It was Tuesday night when all the finalists were asked to check into Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel.
I was feeling jittery and restless. I probably changed about 5 times before finally picking this black dress. After being briefed, and having our measurements taken, I sat down on the 2nd row. Thats when I saw the very beautiful Gabriella Robinson, Miss Tourism International 2011 for the first time. =)
Each girl is assigned to one roommate. After getting the card to my hotel room, I settled down and it was when I realized how tired I was. My roommate was not scheduled to arrive till tomorrow, so I spent the rest of the night enjoying my solitude.

Morning call was at 7am, that being the first day really made me excited so I woke up before the alarm rang. I went down for breakfast alone, and I have to say Grand Dorsett provides really good breakfast buffets.
Then all of us girls had out hair and makeup done by our sponsors for the photoshoot. I was really worn out with the full day photo and video shoot. It was 1 am before I finally retired for the night. Even though I was tired, it was alot of fun and a success! These were the results:

Today was a really busy day for all of us! We had a press conference in the morning, make-up and hair-stryling classes to attend in the afternoon, plus motivational talks presented by image consultant Teresa Chiew and Miss Tourism International 2011 Gabriella Robinson. =) At night, was the most nerve wrecking of all as we had a Talent Show, where us girls were vying on the Miss Talent subsidiary title. =)

| Us girls were really attentive, listening to image consultant Teresa Chiew and Gabriella Robinson's wise words. |
 |
| My talent was singing, so I performed 'Mercy' by welsh singer Duffy. |
 |
| Do you wanna know whyyyyyyy my hands were put at the back? NO its not cause I was nervous.. scroll down and you'll find out! |
 |
| It is actually because, my rings got stuck in my dress fringes!! What to do what to do?! |
|
|
| Finally, I broke free hahaha ;P I'm glad I got my groove back in time to give a good performance. =) I had alot of fun dancing while singing too! =) | |
